Coldplay reportedly spent a massive £4.22millon on the famous flashing wristbands given to all fans on their Mylo Xyloto world tour.
The wristbands, which flashed and changed colour in time with the music, apparently cost Chris Martin and co £3 each - meaning the band spent over £4million on them in total, reports The Mirror. Made in Devon, each band came in a variety of colours and contained LEDs that were controlled via radio-transmitter.
"There may have been high costs involved but other bands should take a look at these accounts and take note," a source apparently told the paper. "With this tour, Coldplay were determined to put their fans first and give something back. That meant no expense spared on set design, pyrotechnics, lighting as well as giving out the high-tech £3 wristbands, which became a massive part of the gigs."
They added: "If fans are paying £50 for a ticket, they are entitled to a good show and a spectacle. It’s no longer enough to jump around on stage, looking pretty."

The Mirror also adds that Coldplay spent a further £1.1million on 'set costs' as well as £954kon 'subsistence and hotels' and £100,000 on catering.
