The 25 top-grossing tours of 2013 have been revealed,  with 80s rock icons Bon Jovi schooling the rest of the list by taking home a massive £125 million on their Because We Can world tour.

Beating the Michael Jackson's Cirque De Soleil show which lands in second with £97 million, the £28 million extra Bon Jovi took home shows just how far ahead of the competition they are. To put things in perspective, the 'biggest band on the planet' One Direction who are yet to sell out a show only took home £48 million, whilst pop reprobate Justin Bieber took home £47.5 million.

In order to appropriate the rather extortionate amount of money the band played 90 sell-out gigs, which amounted to total sales of 2,178,170 tickets. The spanned 25 countries beginning in Washington D.C. in February, Britain in summer before ending in Brisbane tomorrow.

The only act who seemingly could resemble the monetary success of Bon Jovi are the Rolling Stones who played took home £77 million for 23 shows. Which would amount to a staggering 301 million pounds if they chose to play a series of 90 shows like Bon Jovi, a frankly jaw dropping amount of money.
