It's OK - you can breathe a sigh of relief, as it appears that Lil Wayne is alive after all. He was just the victim of another bloody online death hoax.
This is the latest in a long line of tiresome hoaxes (who creates these by the way?), with past subjects including Alex Turner, Beath Coast and even poor rold Jackie Chan. This time, the rumour did the rounds through a video on Facebook entitled R.I.P. - Rapper Lil Wayne Found Dead. However, the video suspicously required users to share it before it could be viewed, a common ploy in the spreading of malware.
The video itself made light of Lil Wayne's epilepsy, claiming that the rapper was found dead after suffering a seizure. Back in March, Wayne was the subject of more legitimate death scares after he suffered multiple seizures, meaning that the video comes in particularly bad taste.
"The bad news is I'm an epileptic," Wayne told radio station Power 106. "I'm prone to seizures. This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizures. I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them. But this time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious."
But yeah, Lil Wayne isn't dead.
