In news that's sure to ruin your Christmas, it's been revealed Justin Bieber's announcement of his early retirement from music was a joke.
Bieber's manager Scooter Braun has confirmed the news, which spread like joyful wildfire around the internet on Wednesday (December 18), is untrue, and that the 'Baby' singer was "just kidding around".
Braun told ITN at today's (December 19) premiere of Bieber's new movie, Believe, that the singer is just having a good old relax. "Next year he's taking a break just to make music and relax, take some time for himself for the first time since he was 12," he revealed.
During an interview with LA radio station Power 106 FM on Wednesday, Bieber announced he would be quitting music after the release of his next album, breaking millions of Belieber's hearts.
"Um, I’m actually retiring man," he said. "I'm just gonna take some time. I think I’m probably gonna quit music, I’m quitting everything."
However, the full interview has now been posted online, in which the singer admits he was "messing around", unluckily for us. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
Bieber, 19, is currently gearing up to release his 5th (!) studio album, Journals.
