It has come to light that police are investigating two more women who allegedly offered their infant children to convicted paedofile Ian Watkins.
This follows on from a statement made by police that further arrests were expected in connection with the former Lostprophets' frontman's case, now it appears two more women and their children may have been involved. According to the Mirror, detectives have been tipped off about the pair and are already investigating.
One women, aged 36, is said to have vistited Watkins at a hotel in London and it is feared she may have allowed Watkins to harm her daughter. The latter suspect from South of England reportedly sent pictures of underage children to Ian, who was sent down jailed this week for 35 years for a string of child sex offences.
The new allegations could lead to the two women and Watkins facing a court case separate to the initial trial that saw two other women labelled A and B also jailed for for 14 and 17 years respectively.
The details were unearthed by Mr Thomas-Williams, the TV investigator responsible for the documentary on the truth behind Jimmy Saville. “My investigation has thrown up compelling new evidence that needs to be examined," he said. “I have also obtained evidence on a third woman that may provide vital clues to the police about Watkins’ offending behaviour. I believe there are a lot of potential victims out there but tracing them is difficult due to their age and the fact that the mothers are offenders.”
