New Zealand pop newcomer Lorde has compared herself to Lord Of The Rings' character Gollum, saying she looks like the twisted hobbit when she performs live.
The 'Royals' star has enjoyed a hugely successful 2013 with her international hit album, Pure Heroine, but has also come under some fierce criticism after sharing her outspoken views on fellow musicians. She has also been targeted for her unusual stage performances, but brushed off criticism in good nature during a Q&A with fans on Reddit.
"When i’m onstage, I don’t think about how it looks, I just concentrate on really feeling what I ear," she told fans. "But I totally know I look like Gollum when I perform, so it’s cool."

Fame hasn't been an easy ride for Lorde, and the worst backlash came earlier in December 2013, when Twitter users launched a hate campaign against her and her boyfriend James Lowe, involving vicious and racist comments about the pair.
