David Bowie recorded a Christmas message for listeners of BBC 6 Music, by doing an impression of Elvis Presley. Listen to the clip below.
The short clip was played during This Is Radio Clash on Boxing Day - a two hour long show on BBC Radio 6 Music from Clash members Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon.
In the style of Elvis, Bowie said: "Hello everybody, this is David Bowie making a telephone call from the US of A. At this time of the year I can't help but remember my British-ness and all the jolly British folk, so here's to you and have yourselves a Merry little Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you very much."

It's a very rare public address from David Bowie who has not given any interviews around the release of his 2013 comeback album, The Next Day. However, there is a fair amount of mindless, unfounded optimism that he will tour in 2014, and perhaps even headline Glastonbury.
