Pharrell knocks Sam Bailey off UK singles top-spot with 'Happy'

Once again, Pharrell Williams has got lucky, and is currently celebrating after claiming his third and final UK No.1 single of 2013 with the brilliant 'Happy', after knocking Sam Bailey from the top spot.

Last week, Williams was a surprise entry to the top 10 with 'Happy' coming in at No.2 behind the X Factor winner's single 'Skyscraper'. However, after selling nearly 107,000 copies over the last week, Pharrell earns with third No.1 with the year - after appearing on the huge-selling 'Get Lucky' with Daft Punk and 'Blurred Lines' with Robin Thicke and T.I.

Meanwhile, Avicii's 'Hey Brother' comes in at No.3, while 'Trumpets' by  Jason Derulo is at No.4 and 'The Monster' by Eminem and Rihanna completes the top five.

Meanwhile, Robbie Williams' Swing Both Ways tops the albums chart yet again, Gary Barlow is at No.2 with Since I Saw You Last, One Direction's Midnight Memories is at No.3, Beyonce's self-titled fifth album is at No.4 while Olly Murs completes the top five with Right Place Right Time.
