Never one to do things by the books M.I.A. has announced on Twitter that she is leaving Jay Z's Roc Nation.
The rapper joined the management company wing of the label of the company back in 2012, joining the likes of Rihanna, Santigold and Grimes. However they came to a disagreement last year after a trailer for the M.I.A. documentary was pulled from Youtube by Roc Nation.
This resulted in her releasing a statement saying that she had been "blacklisted" by the company from releasing the film and that her fans should "put your middle fingers up".
This disagreement appears to have sown the seeds of discontent as the rapper has written on Twitter, saying simply: "I'm leaving @rocnation". She has since deleted the tweet, following up with the below.
