The BBC have begun the first in their Sound of 2014 announcements, naming George Ezra as No.5 on the list.

The annual list of predictions sees 170 tastemakers compile a list of who they believe will define 2014. That list is then whittled down to 15 entrants who were announced in December. This week will see that list brought down to five with each final position announced every day of the week on Nick Grimshaw's Breakfast Show.

Past winners include Jessie J, Adele and last year HAIM.
