The second reveal sees Alice in Chains, Slayer, Mastodon, Airbourne, Ghost, Karnivool and Gojira added to the bill at Knebworth. This adds to what is looking to be a seriously heavy line-up with Iron Maiden, Metallica and The Prodigy already headlining and potentially giving Download a run for its money.
William DuVall lead singer of Alice in Chains commented: “We're very excited to be playing once again at Sonisphere, particularly as this year has us joining our longtime friends in Metallica. It should be a fun ride for everyone - both on and off the stage.”

The event is set to take place on 4-6 July 2014 at Knebworth, and the organisers announced the return with the rather un-rock and roll image below.
Acts to have played legendary events at Knebworth over the last 40 years include Oasis, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, Deep Purple, Genesis and many more. Sonisphere began at Knebworth in 2009 and saw acts such as Metallia, Iron Maiden, Linkin Park and Slipknot.
