Bastille's Dan Smith has spoken about supporting Muse on their arena tour last year, describing the experience as "slightly mind blowing."
The supporting slot may have been just eight months ago, but Smith told Gigwise "We've done so much this year that it feels like long ago. We started the summer [with] the biggest gigs we've ever done being Shepherd's Bush Empire, and as the summer developed, we played on bigger stages to bigger crowds."
The band joined Muse for three of their summer stadium shows in May and June, along with rapper Dizzee Rascal. "The whole Muse scenario was very surreal" said Smith, "And on a scale that was slightly mind blowing for a new band. I've not even really been into a stadium, so it was pretty surreal."

Earlier this year, the band insisted that they were "not theatrical enough" to play arenas, but Smith now seems optimistic about the band's progress. "Our tour next year, we're trying to work on our production and trying to make it better. We don't want to repeat ourselves."
