Morrissey is seeking legal advice after articles were written in British newspapers alleging he was molested as a child.
The allegations state that he was sexually abused by a teacher in school. The information printed by the Manchester Evening News has been vigorously denied through fansite Truetoyou.net where it states that Morrissey is considering taking legal action against the paper.
"The Manchester Evening News have stated on 17 October 2013 that Morrissey 'claims he was "touched inappropriately by a teacher at school"', writes a representative for the singer. "Morrissey has never made such a claim... Morrissey is seeking legal advice on this matter."

In Morrissey's recent autobiography he went into detail about how traumatic his school years were from primary school to graduation. "Each day is Kafka-esque in its nightmare," he laments. "The school offers nothing at all except a lifelong awareness of hate as a general truth."
He does mention suffering at the hands of P.E. teachers, in particular someone named Miss Dudley who watched him thrown into the pool despite the fact that he couldn't swim. "Miss Dudley made no effort to understand the secret agony of a troubled child," he writes. "I was lifted up and thrown into the water in an act that these days, would count as extreme physical and psychological assault”."
