Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has responded to criticism around his decision to become a judge on BBC's The Voice by simply admitting that he's only doing it 'to sell more records'. Fair enough.
Indie lovers and some fans of the band poured scorn over the news that Wilson would be appearing on the BBC singining competition as a judge alongside Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am and fellow new judge Kylie Minogue. But now, in a new interview with NME, Wilson has been brutally open and honest in explaining his position.
"I love my band and I want our new record to get noticed," he admitted. "I know that everyone is going, 'He thinks he's going to sell more records and more tickets.' And that is why I'm doing it. I'm not a fucking idiot."
