Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks has spoken out about the wellbeing of bassist Jon McVie, after he was diagnosed with cancer last year.
The legendary rockers scrapped a number of Australian and New Zealand shows in October 2013 after McVie was diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer, but the full band performed a scheduled Las Vegas show on Monday 30 December, 2013.
Now in a new interview with US Weekly, Nick suggested that McVie was now on the road to recovery.
"He's good," she said. "He's got his treatment, and now he did a show [recently], another tomorrow night, then he has surgery next week."
She contined: "I'm not the least bit worried about John. He's very, very strong and a man of very few words. He's not a person to mess with."
Fleetwood Mac were recently ruled out of the running for Glastonbury 2014, after long being one of the favourites for Worthy Farm 2014. "We're hoping to get them for 2015, but not next year," said organiser Michael Eavis, when asked by The Guardian about the likelihood of the band joining Arcade Fire as a headliner.
