Kylie Minogue has announced a brand new single and album, with Pharrell Williams and rising UK star MNEK involved in the project.

Lead single 'Into The Blue' will be released on March 16, with the album to follow later on this year. 'Into The Blue' is described as a "euphoric return to the dancefloor" and was written by Kelly Sheehan, a songwriter who has worked with Nicki Minaj and Beyonce.

"Into The Blue is really special to me as it encapsulates a lot of what I’ve been feeling - I can’t wait for it to be out there," said Kylie of the track.

Meanwhile, the untitled album will follow later this year, and has been recorded with a host of massive producers, including Pharrell Williams, Greg Kurstin, Ariel Rechtshaid and MNEK. It'll be the Australian pop singer's twelfth record, and her first since 2010's Aphrodite.

In February 2013, Kylie signed a management deal with Jay Z's entertainment company Roc Nation.

Minogue is set to make her debut as a judge on The Voice tomorrow (January 11) alongside Ricky Wilson, Tom Jones and will.i.am.
