Kasabian have been reported as 'almost certain' to headline Sunday night of this year's Glastonbury Festival, experts claim.
Website eFestivals, who have become a renowned and reliable source of festival rumours, predictions and insider knowledge, claim that they are now 'full confident' that Kasabian will top the bill on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm this June.
eFestivals points out that although the Leicester 'Fire' rockers have played the event four times before and Glasto boss Michael said that this year's headliners hadn't played before, this was clearly a mistake - as Arcade Fire will be headlining and they have played several times too.
The site say that Kasabian are "almost certain to headline the Sunday night," adding: "All that remains is the name of Saturday's headlining act, with all sorts of possible acts being talked about."
In an interview in the current issue of Q Magazine, the band said that nothing had been confirmed yet.
"Roll the dice, mate," said frontman Tom Meighan when quizzed about Glasto. "I've had no phone call yet so I can't say anything, but I love that festival."
So far, Arcade Fire have been confirmed as headliners, while Lily Allen has said she'll be there and Manic Street Preachers have also stated their hopes of appearing. Stanton Warriors and Korean singer Choi Go-eun have also been confirmed to play, while rumoured acts include Elbow, Depeche Mode, Foo Fighters and Daft Punk.
Kasabian's new album is due for release in June, in time for their special 10th anniversary show at Leicester's Victoria Park on June 21, 2014. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
