Mike Skinner and his former collaborator Leo 'The Lion' Ihenacho have become embroiled in a very public spat following Ihenacho's appearance on The Voice at the weekend.
Skinner took to his blog to dismiss Ihenacho's role with The Streets as just a "session singer", after Ihenacho appeared on singing contest The Voice describing his experience as a member of The Streets, which Skinner formed in 1994.
Ihenacho appeared on The Streets' famous track 'Dry Your Eyes', and even appeared alongside Skinner at the 2006 BRIT Awards. However, it seems Skinner believes Ihenacho overexagerrated his role in the project for the cameras.
"Leo The Lion (Ihenacho) wasn't in the streets. He was a session singer on a few album tracks. He also sang on tour for a bit. He wasn't part of any songwriting," Skinner wrote on his blog.
It seems Ihenacho isn't going to take the attack lying down, as he was quick to hit back at Skinner in a series of tweets, calling the rapper a "total disgrace" and an "egotistical a**ehole", even claiming Skinner refuses to be happy for him.
YOU ARE A TOTAL DISGRACE..!! HOW FUCKING DARE YOU...SESSION SINGER..!!??? http://t.co/ESPUF2D3DV #EGOTISTICAL #ARSEHOLE
