Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O has revealed she may have to face her fear of public speaking if she wins out at the 2014 Oscars.
The 'Heads Will Roll' singer, who is nominated for 'Moon Song' in the Best Original Song category, featured in the Spike Jonze film Her, is the last person you might imagine to be afraid of public speaking. However in a recent interview she revealed that although she is incredibly excited about the nomination she is having to face her phobia of talking to crowds.
"To say this was unexpected is an understatement...", Karen told Rolling Stone. "The song was 10 years in the making according to Spike and testament to a beautiful friendship and creative chemistry we've shared over the years...
"Thanks Spike for making my very real phobia of ever having to be in a position to give an acceptance speech at a major award show a reality."

The competition is manifested by the Golden Globe winning 'Ordinary Love' from U2, featured in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and Pharrell Williams for Despicable Me 2's 'Happy'. The final list has been whittled down from a huge list of 75 artists, with the XX, Florence and the Machine and Lana Del Rey missing out on the final stage of being nominated.
Last year only Adele's 'Skyfall' and Rick Ross's 'Black Coffins' from Django Unchained made it into the final stage of the running, with Adele eventually winning. The Oscars ceremony will take place on March 2.
