It's heavily rumoured Beyonce and Madonna will be performing at the Grammy Awards on January 26.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the two superstars will be making surprise appearances onstage at the ceremony, with Beyonce performing in support of her recent, record-breaking self-titled album and Madonna reportedly set to duet with a nominee.

There's been no official confirmation of either singer's participation yet, but if they were to perform, they'd be joining a star-studded lineup. Most recently confirmed to appear at the 56th awards are Beatles icons Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr as well as Taylor Swift and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Also set to perform are Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, Katy Perry and Robin Thicke. Probably the most anticipated appearance of the evening, however, is Daft Punk, who will be taking to the stage for the first time in six years. The French electronic duo will be performing alongside Random Access Memories contributors Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, as well as soul legend Stevie Wonder.
