To celebrate the release of their eighth studio album Rave Tapes, Mogwai have announced the sale of a limited edition whisky. And it's strong. VERY strong...
The drink, which has been given the incredibly catchy name 'RockAct81w', was distilled at the Glenallachie Distillery, Speyside, in September 2004. It will set you back £55 a bottle, and packs a punch, with alcohol content of 57.1%. No lightweights allowed.
The single cast whisky is limited to 324 numbered bottles, and the band will be signing bottles ahead of their show at Glasgow Concert Hall on 28 January.
Mogwai released their new album Rave Tapes today (22 January) to widely positive reviews - with Uncut describing the release as "a powerful and accomplished album."
The band embark on a world tour this week - for more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets. Then, if you've got £55 burning a hole in your pocket, buy a bottle of RockAct81w.
