Kylie Minogue has announced details of her new album, Kiss Me Once, and revealed that new single 'Into The Blue' will premiere online at 10am on Monday, 27 January 2014. See the artwork above.
The Australian singer and talent show judge will release her new record later in 2014, following the 9 March release of her upcoming new single, 'Into The Blue'. The record will be Minogue's 12th solo album, and her first since inking a new deal with Jay Z's Roc Nation record label. The singer is said to have signed the deal in the hopes of cracking the US market.
Minogue replaced Jessie J on the third series of The Voice UK in 2014, and has proven a hit with TV audiences, with the show attracting huge numbers during its first episodes. Former Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has also joined the show, replacing The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue as 'the indie one'.
Minogue is yet to reveal new single, 'Into The Blue', but the track recently leaked online - before being promptly deleted. Music news site Consequence Of Sound described the single as having 'undeniable pop allure' and describes it as 'a dancefloor dream' and quotes lyrics of the chorus, which are as follows: "When I got my back up against the wall, don’t need no one to rescue me/’Cause I ain’t waiting up for no miracle, yeah tonight I’m running free."
Website Idolator praised the song for its "the seismic hook, where Minogue’s crystalline voice soars over an arena-ready dance breakdown."
