Prince fans have reacted with wild excitement about the news that The Purple One will be playing special shows in London next month.
Earlier today (Friday 24 January), it was revealed that His Royal Badness will visit the UK for a number of live shows at 'iconic venues in and around London', according to a statement from the star's UK representative. Dates and locations are yet to be announced. The tour is titled Hit And Run.
The UK visit is to mark the release of his new album PlectrumElectrum, his first release will all-female rock trio, 3rdEyeGirl.
Fans of the 'Kiss' superstar then took to Twitter to voice their glee:

Prince had been heavily rumoured to perform at Glastonbury 2014, but a US spokesperson for the music legend told Gigwise that he had absolutely not agreed to perform at the event.
