Robbie Williams' hometown of Stoke-on-Trent is set to celebrate 'Robbie Day' on the singer's upcoming 40th birthday.

According to the city's council, Williams will receive a much coveted blue plaque near his old home in celebration of his 40th, which takes place on 13 February.

That's not all though - roads in a new estate set for development are to be named Angels Way, Candy Lane, and Supreme Street after some of Williams' biggest songs. No Rudebox Road though.

The former Take That member recently released a new album, Swings Both Way, and has also announced an arena tour set to kick off in June.

The singer, who had a successful solo career following Take That's break-up before reuniting with the band in 2010, will be the last member of the band to turn 40.

Sadly, Williams' reps have said that he is "too busy" to attend any of the Stoke celebrations.
