The new album continue's the band's adventures in lo-fi, balancing subtle, low-key sounds with a sense of ambition and scope, never rushing to meet a climax and delivering short, sharp bursts of progressive, but distorted, indie sounds. The album touches on psychedelic, sixties influences with a hazy, dreamlike atmosphere, and is at once innovative yet soothing with a strong sense of nostalgia.
Cutting Up The Present Leaks Out The Future The album was recorded live in just five days, and in-keeping with their lo-fi sound, was recorded onto an 80s tape machine in live takes during the lightning-fast process.
