Kelis has announced an exclusive, intimate, one off London show in support of her forthcoming album, Food. For tickets and more information, see below.
The singer will be playing her new album in full with a live band at London's Metropolis Studios on March 3. Only 100 tickets are available for the event, which will be recorded for for a limited edition vinyl record.
£158 will buy fans a ticket, as well as a drink, souvenir lanyard and access to the afterparty at the Metropolis bar. If you're prepared to shell out even more, the Super VIP package costs £311 and will get you a private box, private waiter service, a meet and greet with Kelis herself, access to rehearsals, a goodie bag, and the perks mentioned previously.
The singer recently told HipHollywood.com Food will sound very different from her previous releases. "It's full band," she said. "It's got a horn section, strings and an orchestra - it's very dramatic." The album will be produced by Dave Sitek, who has worked with a plethora of massive indie bands.
"I'm really excited about it. I don't rush to put albums out, so when I do I like to wallow in them a bit," she continued.
Kelis will also play a larger show at Brighton Dome on May 10 2014 as part of The Great Escape festival. For tickets and more information for both the Brighton show and the London date, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
