It's been just one day since an observant Londoner noticed the similarity between the "Woo-hoo" of Blur's 'Song 2' and a squeaky ticket barrier on Canary Wharf's Jubilee Line. Since then, his YouTube mash-up of the two has earned nearly 200,000 views and now, approval from Blur themselves.

The band tweeted a link to an article about the video, writing simply "Laughing at this.... Woo-Hoo!"

Ritch Ames, who uploaded the masterpiece, wrote, "Thanks to @BlurOfficial for seeing the funny side, and not taking this down, the royalties are all yours."

He also added, and this is very important so get a pen and paper: "Update: It's the 4th barrier from the right, not the 2nd as you go down into the tube."

Transport for London are yet to comment on this groundbreaking turn of events, but if they go fixing the squeaky gate, they may have a riot on their hands.
