Dave Grohl has shared more insight into the new Foo Fighters album, saying that it's going to be 'awesome' and explosive'.
Ealier this month, Billboard reported that the follow-up to 2011's Wasting Light would be made in 12 different cities - that definitely include Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Seattle:

Other than that rumour, details around the band's eighth LP have been scant - but speaking to BBC Radio One's Zane Lowe, the frontman let slip a few hints about what's been going on.
"We haven't really disclosed exactly what we are doing," said Grohl. "We're doing something that no-one really knows about and we'll announce pretty soon I think.
"I know what it sounds like and I honestly think the entire concept is really going to take people by surprise and it sounds nuts."
Grohl added: "We recorded something the other day that's unlike anything we've ever done and it starts with a fuse and then it explodes."

At the end of 2013,Grohl spoke to Rolling Stone magazine about the new album saying: "We're doing something that nobody knows about, it's fucking rad. We begin recording soon."
The band recently posted the following image on their Instagram page, stating that the record was progressing well and that it was 'fucking on':
Foo Fighters made their live comeback in Mexico and with a surprise gig at a US pizza restaurant last month. They're set for a special show during Super Bowl week and are rumoured to be hitting the UK festival scene this summer.
