Katy Perry has become the first person ever to reach 50 million Twitter followers.
Justin Bieber was previously the most followed Twitter user, but in November Perry overtook Bieber's 46.47 million, and her numbers have been growing ever since.
The singer, who only follows 132 people herself, tweeted on Saturday (1 February) to celebrate the landmark.

Perry released her fourth studio album Prism last year, which featured singles 'Roar' and 'Dark Horse' and reached No.1 in the UK and US album charts.
