They've animated interviews with The Beastie Boys, Barry White and Kurt Cobain, and now YouTube channel Blank on Blank have unearthed and animated Jimi Hendrix's final ever interview, which took place a week before his death.
The interview was carried out by music journalist Keith Altham on 11 September 1970. On 18 September, Hendrix was found dead, having asphyxiated on his own vomit after taking 18 times the recommended dose of sleeping pills.
Altham opens the interview by asking Hendrix if he has enough money to live comfortably. The singer responds, "I don't think so. Not the way I'd like to live. I want to get up in the morning and just roll over in my bed into an indoor swimming pool. And then swim to the breakfast table, you know, come up for air... swim into the bathroom."
Altham retorts "You don't want to live just comfortably, you want to live luxuiously?"
"No!" laughs Hendrix, "Is that luxurious?" All of this is accompanied by affectionately playful animations.

Hendrix goes on to say, "If it were up to me there wouldn't be no such thing as establishment."
Meanwhile, Outkast's Andre 3000 has starred as Hendrix in a John Ridley directed biopic, which is set to preview at the US SXSW Festival.
