Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL performed a 60 minute surprise session at Camden's Electric Ballroom last night (4 February) to a few hundred fans who had been tipped off just an hour beforehand. Watch a clip from the performance below.
After announcing that he will be performing a series of London shows this year, details of which would be revealed at a press conference held at singer Lianne LaHavas's flat, the hype surrounding Prince's tour has been enormous.
Last night, the conference finally took place, but still no dates were confirmed. Instead, Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL played two tracks from the forthcoming PLECTRUMELECTRUM album before heading to the Electric Ballroom.

Fans had been alerted to the session on twitter just an hour before it took place, and the lucky few got to witness tracks from the new album as well as a version of Wild Cherry's 'Play That Funky Music.'
3RDEYEGIRL are Prince's new all-female band, and their television debut was on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last year.
