Wilco's Jeff Tweedy has been confirmed as a guest star in an episode of Parks and Recreation.
The singer will play the frontman of the "formerly-popular band Land Ho!', who finds himself being lobbied by government worker Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler.
According to producer Mike Schur, "Leslie and Andy are trying to convince him to reunite for the big Unity Concert they are organising to solidify the merger of Pawnee and Eagleton."
Wilco, who are an American alternative rock group, formed 20 years ago in 1994, and have released eight studio albums. Their most recent, The Whole Love, was released in 2011 and has sold over 200,000 copies.

Parks and Recreation, which was first aired in 2009, is a comedy TV series starring Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, an infruriatingly upbeat mid-level bureacrat who works in the parks department of Pawnee, Indiana. Pawnee, in case you were about to grab a map, does not actually exist.
Season 6 of the series has already seen guest stars in the form of Kristen Bell, Heidi Klum and Sam Elliot, and is set to return for its second half in February.
