One Direction singer Harry Styles has discussed comparisons between the X Factor boyband and The Beatles, admitting that the pop band are not 'anywhere near' the music legends when it comes to their music.
In a new interview with Top Of The Pops magazine, the singer also added, however, that he believed the boyband were more famous than John, Paul, Ringo and George - even if their music was far inferior.
"We all sat and watched the film of The Beatles arriving in America," Styles told the magazine. "And, to be honest, that really was like us. Stepping off the plane, the girls, the madness. It was exactly the same as when we got there - just 50 years earlier."
He added: "But none of us think we're in the same league as them music-wise. We'd be total fools if we did. Fame-wise, it's probably even bigger, but we don't stand anywhere near them in terms of music."

One Direction were recently named the Global Recording Artists of 2013, after their third album, Midnight Memories was revealed as the biggest selling album in 2013 in the UK.
International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, a not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of the music industry worldwide, found that 1D were the most popular recording artists worldwide last year. The award was created In in an effort to "accurately capture the popularity of artists" using an independently verified chart.
The band's third album topped the US Billboard top 200, making them the first group ever to debut at No.1 with their first three albums. They also racked up almost 200 million YouTube views for 'Best Song Ever.'
