Chart success is a difficult beast, often dominated by one hit wonders, reality TV alumni and legions upon legions of terrible Calvin Harris imitators. Sometimes the artist's themselves don't even want to break out in that fashion; take Baauer for example who was frustrated to be pigeonholed by the runaway track 'Harlem Shake'.
Recently however things seem to be improving with the success of numerous musicians coming as something of a surprise. Particularly when it comes to just how many have reached the No.1, climbing past your Gary Barlows and 1Ds to do something truly extraordinary.
