Frank Ocean is being sued for unpaid royalties for a sample used in Channel Orange track 'Super Rich Kids'.

TufAmerica is suing Vivendi and Universal Music Group for unpaid royalties, claiming that 'Super Rich Kids' features a sample of Mary J Blige's 1992 single 'Real Love', reports The Hollywood Reporter

Bizarrely, TufAmerica don't have a full copyright claim over 'Real Love', but over The Honeydrippers’ 1973 single ‘Impeach The President’ - which is sampled in the track - making Ocean's use a sample within a sample.

TufAmerica own 3.15% of the copyright to ‘Real Love’, which they're now seeking to claim from royalties from Channel Orange.

It isn't the first time that Ocean has faced a lawsuit like this. As AllHipHop reported last year, producer and songwriter Micah Otano previously alleged that Ocean and producer Malay copied his song 'Daylight' and is now seeking royalties and damages. Otano accuses Malay for taking production credit for 'Lost' after directly turning 'Daylight' into the acclaimed Ocean track.

Channel Orange since went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Otano is seeking undisclosed damages and royalties.

Ocean is currently believed to be working on the follow-up to Channgel Orange, rumoured for release later in 2014.
