The new series of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is getting off to a roaring start, having confirmed bookings of Arcade Fire, justin Timberlake, U2 and Lady Gaga for Fallon's debut.

On the 17 February, comedian Jimmy Fallon is due to take over The Tonight Show and it looks like he is aiming to kick things off with a bang. Beginning with a week of programming, a huge series of A-List acts have been booked, including Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire and Fallon's long time buddy Justin Timberlake. As previously highlighted U2 will be opening on the debut show.

However despite moving up in the schedules, Fallon stated in an interview with Billboard that he still wanted to book alternative acts. He maintained that Odd Future would appear on the show again despite the new billing, he also mentioned that The Roots would be featuring heavily on the show.

Fallon also has a long series of A-List guests that will be joining him on the sofa during his inaugural week on the programme. Will Smith, Jerry Seinfeld, Will Ferrell, Bradley Cooper and Michelle Obama all been confirmed to appear.
