Kanye West has made a return to guest spots, this time featuring on Rick Ross' new track 'Sanctified'. Listen to his verse below.
The track, which is taken from Ross' new album Mastermind, was previewed to rap critics at a listening party; however one sly customer decided to record the Kanye verse with his phone. Obviously the quality is extremely low but you can get a good listen at what Kanye is going for with his guest spot.
It seems like particularly formulaic Kanye, rapping about "100 million dollars in a bag", status and essentially every other West cliche you could imagine. The finished version of the track will be released on March 14th.
Kanye West this week marked the 10 year anniversary of his debut album, praising fans as he marked a decade since the release of The College Dropout. The album was released on 10 February all the way back in 2004, and was West's first as a solo artist, having previously worked as a producer for the likes of Jay Z. It contains classic tracks such as 'Through the Wire' and 'All Falls Down', the tracks that launched West into the mainstream. To commemorate its release, West published a series of tweets expressing his gratitude.
"Ten years ago today we finally released what had been my life’s work up to that point: The College Dropout," tweeted West. "I say "finally" because it was a long road, a constant struggle, and a true labor of love to not only convince my peers and the public that I could be an artist, but to actually get that art out for the world to hear,"
