The BBC reports that His Royal Badness told a press conference at Lianne LaHavas' flat last week that he wouldn't be playing in huge venues like the O2 as he did with his residency back in 2007.
"That was a different time, this is a different band," said Prince, adding that they would "work our way up, if people like us, to bigger venues".
He continued: "We're going to be here until people don't want to hear us anymore."
Prince's Hit And Run tour continues in London throughout February - with more surprise shows expected soon. Visit Gigwise Gig Tickets for more information.
