Taylor Swift has admitted that she plans to scrap all the material she's written for her new album so far.
The singer is planning the follow-up to her 2012 album Red, but has admitted that material won't come quickly.
"I basically like to write for about two years before I finish with an album," Swift told the Daily Star. "I know whatever I write about at this point is going to get thrown away."
She added, "I'm probably going to like it but it's going to sound a little too much like the last project that I had."

The singer went on to discuss what inspires her to write new material, saying: "You need to challenge yourself and trust your influences. I need to be inspired by different things."
Swift recently completed the European leg of her 'Red' world tour, which saw her perform six nights at the O2 Arena. She's since announced plans to take the show to Asia later this year. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
