Continuing his tradition of epic stage rants on his Yeezus tour, Kanye West accused the media and press of "racial prejudice", and defended Drake's Rolling Stone comments onstage in New Jersey on Saturday (February 15).

The rapper was performing at the Prudential Center in Newark for the latest stop of his Yeezus tour, and accused the media of portraying him negatively because of their disapproval of his "interracial" relationship with Kim Kardashian.

"Every media outlet, I don’t care who you are - TMZ, E!, Barbara Walters - don’t play yourself. Respect it as such," said West. "SNL, all you writers, Lorne Michaels. Respect it as such."

"Cause when we standing face to face, you know who you’re looking at,” said the performer, who then compared himself to the likes of Prince and Missy Elliott.

"This ain’t no mother*cking spoof, so play this sh*t back at your motherf**king meetings when you’re writing your jokes," he added. "Play this sh*t back when you’re writing your headlines for your tabloids."

"Write that motherf**king headline when you try to make me look like a maniac or an animal, because you afraid of interracial relationships, because you afraid of the future, because you afraid of a rapper that was raised by two educated parents," he continued. "Don't think that I'm upset, because I'm actually very, very happy."

Kanye also defended Drake's comments in Rolling Stone, in which he appeared to criticise Kanye's album Yeezus. "It’s always them magazines trying to pit n****s against one another,” he said. "So, tonight, it aint none of that. We love Drake.”

"If anything, we gone go after the motherf**kers writing that negativity," he continued. "Before they print some shit like that, they need to check with me and him and see if it’s okay before they get ran up in they motherf**king office."

Kanye also seemed to share Drake's opinion Macklemore's Grammys sweep: "Macklemore know what it is. He tried, he made some good music, he’s a good kid, but y’all know what it is."

Meanwhile, Kanye recently premiered his remix of Beyonce's 'Drunk In Love'. It's rumoured a full video will premiere alongside the track after Bey posted what seemed to be a preview of the rodeo-themed clip on her Instagram.
