The singer, best known as a founding member of Animal Collective, has released four solo albums under the stage name Panda Bear. His fourth album Tomboy was released in 2011, and was placed in Rolling Stone's and Pitchfork's 'Top 50 Albums of 2011' lists.

The singer also appeared on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album, providing the vocals for 'Doin' It Right.' Pitchfork referred to the track as the album's "strongest statement of purpose, a moment where two artists with a focus on self-betterment aligh their chakras."
The album will be produced by Sonic Boom, who also produced Panda Bear's last album Tomboy, but no release date has been confirmed yet.
