The Voice's reign over Saturday night ratings looks set to continue, with the singing competition drawing in nearly 1 million viewers more than Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
It seems this year's new judges, Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson, are a hit in terms of ratings, with The Voice pulling in 7.3 million viewers on Saturday (February 22) with a peak of 9.2 million.
Meanwhile, the premiere of the new series of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway drew in 6.5 million, with a peak of 7 million. In 2013, Ant and Dec triumphed over The Voice in terms of viewing figures.
The Voice's newfound success is possibly partly down to new judges Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chief's Ricky Wilson, who replaced former coaches Jessie J and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue. Former judges will.i.am and Tom Jones remain.
Emma Willis and former member of JLS Marvin Humes also took over presenting duties from Holly Willougby and Reggie Yates.
Saturday marked the end of the blind auditions stage of The Voice, which traditionally sees the highest audience ratings of the series. Figures are expected to dip when the singing competition enters its "battle rounds" next week.
