Dolly Parton has been officially announced as the latest act to be performing at this year's Glastonbury festival, after months of rumours that the country star will perform.
The country sensation has been the subject of rumour for months. Initially reported in October of last year, Parton seemingly became a dead-cert for Glasto after announcing her UK tour dates around the time of next year's Worthy Farm event - with a number of days conspicuously unbooked on Glastonbury weekend. A source for Glastonbury then allegedly told The Sun newspaper of Parton's performance - and even her travel plans to the event.
Now, Glastonbury have taken to Facebook to confirm the news:
Glastonbury festival takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 June, 2014.
