Former guitarist with The Kinks, Dave Davies, has announced his first UK live show in 13 years. Dates and ticket details.
The iconic British star will be playing a special show at London's Barbican Hall to celebrate his 50 years in the music industry. He will be joined by special guests Laura and Pixi.
The news is likely to spark further hopes of a Kinks reunion in the year ahead. Earlier this year, it emerged that brothers Ray and Dave Davies have been in talks for month about reforming the iconic rockers, and in an interview with Uncut magazine, Dave said that it's drawing ever nearer.
"It’s as close as it’s ever been to happening," he said. "I said to Ray I thought that it’d be a great shame if we don’t try and do something. I don’t think our love has diminished. I think the stage-play has played itself out a bit, the pretence and the acting. I think it’s time reality took over, and started directing the last years of…whatever it is. It’s like Cain and Abel."
Dave continued: “I don’t want to see the legacy of The Kinks soured by two miserable old men doing it for the money.”
