2014 is the year that Brody Dalle returned to the world of music and it's safe to say that she hasn't mellowed in the slightest. Sitting in a Shoreditch hotel room lackadaisically strumming a Fender guitar, she tells us all about the inspiration behind her comeback single 'Meet the Foetus/Oh the Joy' featuring Shirley Manson.
"I think I kind of psychically knew I was pregnant," she said. "I'd just started writing again and I just liked the titles 'Meet the Foetus'. I thought it was really interesting and then I found out that I was pregnant."
"It's just about having anxiety about bringing a kid into the world. With the current events there's been a lot of really intense crazy upheaval you know?" she continues. "Like the Arab Spring, just a lot of big changes going on in the world right now".
