Haim have revealed their interest in working with former Blur frontman and newly solo star Damon Albarn, saying they are 'available' any time he wants to hit the studio.
Haim performed this weekend (28 February) at the first ever BBC 6 Music Festival in Manchester, where Damon Albarn was performing tracks from his upcoming album, Everyday Robots. Alana Haim spoke of her admiration for Albarn, after the band's appearance at last week's NME Awards.
"If Damon ever wants to work with us, we're available," she told The Daily Star, adding that Best Twitter was the award she wanted to win most.
"I wanted to win Best Twitter so bad, it probably means more than the band trophy… I was trying to think of cool tweets for the past couple of weeks, to influence voters."
The second Haim album could be an interesting one, with Alana previously suggesting that Kanye West could serve as inspiration on their next record.
"We're always writing and figuring out new vibes and trying to get our inner Kanyes out," she previously told Rolling Stone magazine. "We're going to tap into our inner Kanye."
Speaking of Yeezus, Alana continued: "It's a fucking masterpiece, I have yet to see Kanye not put out an amazing record – and people don't understand how hard that is. To make record after record and come out with something new and push the boundaries and have it succeed every single time is insane. If I could choose any brain to just chill in, for, like, 10 minutes, it'd be Kanye's. I just want to see what goes on up there. Because he's a genius."
