Avril Lavigne seemed to spot something scary in the crowd at her show in China last week - mid-performance, she screamed and ran rather dramatically offstage. Check out footage of the bizarre incident below.
It's unclear as to what she spotted - maybe it was her ex-husband, Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, or a ghost. Whatever it was, it made her squeak and run offstage during a performance of what we recognise, rather embarrassingly, as her emotional power ballad 'I'm With You'.

Oh No They Didn't has since reported Avril's abrupt departure was due to someone trying to get onstage, but surely she should have gotten used to the fact that's all part of the territory by now? It's been 12 years since her debut single 'Complicated' was released. 12 YEARS. Doesn't that make you feel old? :(
