Rock icons U2 made a very stately appearance at the Oscars last night - only to be photobombed by Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch. Check it out below.
Bono and co attended the Academy Awards, where they were nominated in the Best Song category for 'Ordinary Love' taken from the movie Mandela: The Long Walk To Freedom. Nominated alongside the likes of Karen O and Pharrell, they lost out to 'Let Go' from the Disney film Frozen. Still, they performed on the night and left a lasting impression.
However, probably not as much as this incredible photobomb from Benedict Cumberbatch - which has already gone viral, and is sure to become a magnet of memes and the stuff of internet legend for years to come:
U2 are set to release their 13th album, the follow-up to 2009's No Line On The Horizon, later this year.
