Janelle Monae and Charli XCX are amongst a number of musicians asked to cover Robert Palmer's 1988 track 'Simply Irresistible' by E! for their Oscars red carpet coverage. Check out their takes on the track below.
Janelle Monae possibly amped up the 80s sound of the track even more, adding screeching powerful guitars and melodic, lush strings. Meanwhile, Charli XCX delivered a frenetic, high-energy rendition of the track.

Charli XCX is set to release the follow-up to her debut album True Romance in 2014. Having already aired lead single 'SuperLove' as well as track 'Allergic To Love', the singer has also lent her vocals to Iggy Azalea's forthcoming single 'Fancy'.
