The BBC announced that the 26-year-old Leicestershire star, known simply by her stage name ‘Molly’, will be performing ‘Children of the Universe’ in Copenhagen in May - a track she wrote herself.
"I'm so excited for everyone to hear 'Children of The Universe'. I'm so happy with it," Molly told the BBC.
"To represent the United Kingdom in such a huge competition, not only as a singer and performer but as a songwriter is an unbelievable honour. I hope I can do us proud."
In an interesting twist, this year Molly was discovered through BBC Introducing - an initiative run by the network to discover the best of new and unsigned British talent.

Guy Freeman, executive producer of BBC Eurovision, said: "Even the most casual viewer will be aware that over the last decade our fortunes have waned somewhat.
"We took the view that we needed a bespoke, contemporary song, written specifically to suit the conditions of the competition."
The 59th Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Saturday 10 May in Copenhagen, Denmark.
